Dafang Heavy Machinery Supports Successful Launch of Long March 8A Yao-5 Carrier Rocket

Recently, Henan Dafang Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. (Dafang Heavy Machinery) successfully supported the launch of the Zhuque-3 Yao-1 carrier rocket. Now it has once again contributed to the successful launch of the Long March 8A Yao-5 carrier rocket by providing critical support.
At 15:53 on December 6, 2025 (Beijing Time), China successfully sent 14 satellites of the low-Earth orbit satellite Internet into the predetermined orbit using the Long March 8A Yao-5 carrier rocket at the Hainan Commercial Space Launch Site. The mission was a complete success.
In this mission, the special rocket launch crane installed on the fixed service tower at Launch Pad No. 1 undertook the key rocket hoisting work. Developed and manufactured by Dafang Heavy Machinery, the equipment featured precise and stable hoisting technology, efficiently supporting the entire process including system testing, inspection, fueling and launch, providing solid guarantee for the smooth implementation of the mission.
This is not the first time Dafang Heavy Machinery has supported China’s aerospace industry. Its equipment has helped launch many rockets successfully, including Zhuque-2 Yao-2, Zhuque-2 upgraded version, Long March 8 Yao-6, Long March 8A Yao-4, Long March 8A Yao-3, and the recent Zhuque-3 Yao-1, accumulating rich practical experience and technical confidence.
The special rocket launch crane designed by Dafang Heavy Machinery adopts a tower-less horizontal slewing structure that enables 360° full rotation. It is equipped with advanced functions such as anti-swing, position memory, precise positioning and 90° anchoring locking.
The crane also features multiple safety measures including moment wind protection, redundant mechanism (one for operation, one for backup), steel rope breakage protection, and fault emergency self-processing function, fully ensuring safety and stability during rocket lifting.
