Dafang Heavy Machinery Assists the Successful Launch of China's First Reusable Rocket, Zhuque-2 Y-2

At 12:02 PM Beijing Time on December 3rd, the Zhuque-2 Y-2 carrier rocket was successfully launched from the Dongfeng Commercial Spaceport at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center and entered its planned orbit smoothly, marking the successful maiden flight of China's first reusable rocket.
The Zhuque-2 Y-2 carrier rocket is China's first reusable liquid oxygen methane rocket designed for orbital launch missions while also verifying first-stage vertical recovery technology. For this launch mission, multiple new-style Chinese double-girder cranes, developed and manufactured by Dafang Heavy Machinery, undertook the critical task of rocket hoisting. With their safe, reliable, and precise performance, they successfully completed a series of high-precision operations including the handling, transfer, turnover, inspection, and propellant filling of the rocket within the assembly building.
This mission marks another contribution from Dafang Heavy Machinery to China's space industry this year, following its support for the successful launches of the Long March 8 series, Long March 8A series, and Zhuque-2 Y-3 carrier rockets.
The new-style Chinese double-girder cranes produced by Dafang Heavy Machinery are equipped with independently developed electrical anti-sway, automatic positioning, and inching motion control systems.
These features effectively control sway amplitude, improve lifting and inching precision, and significantly enhance the accuracy, stability, and reliability of the rocket hoisting process, providing solid lifting equipment support for the successful flight of the Zhuque-2 Y-1 rocket.
